About Shiloh McFarland, PMHNP

Shiloh is a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has worked in the field of mental health nursing for well over 20 years, working in both a dementia and Alzheimer's skilled facility and acute psychiatric inpatient units, including Mercy Health and Generations Behavioral Health. She received her MSN in 2008 and accepted a position as an adjunct faculty at Kent State, which she held for about 10 years, teaching undergraduate psych mental health nursing. Shiloh then went on to receive her post-master's certificate as a PMHNP in May 2018. Since then, she has been practicing as a PMHNP in a 76-bed psychiatric hospital; working on both the geriatric and dual diagnosis units. Shiloh has also received her DEA x waiver to prescribe suboxone in November 2018 and has been working in a suboxone clinic since that time as well. She also provides medication management services to skilled nursing facilities, both in person and via telepsychiatry.
